David Doyle, Chief Executive Officer

A lifelong Michigan resident, David Doyle founded CRT Medical Systems in 1981. CRT is a medical billing and Electronic Medical records (EMR) company that provides medical practices with fully integrated practice management and EMR software solutions customized for implementation, training and ongoing support. David brings experience from his early career as a lead programmer for many fortune 500 companies and governmental agencies, as well as, creating his own companies for IT staffing, programming and enterprise software sales.

 

CRT currently ranks as one of the top 100 largest billing companies in the United States, processing over $500 million in insurance claims for clients throughout Michigan and the Midwest. CRT's 20,000 square foot data center in Novi, MI has enabled David and his team to develop and deploy state-of-the-art technology in that efficiently automates the processing and handling of medical claims, thereby enhancing physicians' clinical practices.

 

David has chosen CRT's strategic partner, Aprima, to provide EMR solutions for CRT's clients. Aprima has over 450 installations nationwide and is growing rapidly.

 

David graduated from Ferris State University with a BS and AS degree in Computer Science.

With over 20 years of executive-level experience in financial services, sales and marketing from internationally known organizations, John is a lightning rod for CRT Medical Systems. As COO of CRT, John uses his in-depth knowledge and skill to benefit clients in every aspect of their business. Local and global, innovative both strategically and tactically, his expertise proves an invaluable resource at every turn.

 

Past positions include 10+ years as President of Volkswagen of America’s North America Finance companies and, subsequently, head of North American business strategy and integration initiatives. During his time with VW, he and his team built a 10-year strategic milestone business model and marketing plan, integrated company-wide brand management and organizational design. He also formed and headed the President’s Council for North America, in addition to other achievements.

 

Over the years John also held executive positions with two of Michigan’s highly esteemed marketing firms, where he integrated brand-building marketing programs, product launches, event marketing, meetings, press events, video and film initiatives for Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 clients.

 

Interestingly enough, not only did John receive a Bachelor of Arts, with Honors, from Michigan State University, but he went on to receive his Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit, School of Law.

With over 25 years of experience as a CPA, Bob has supported CRT as the company's Chief Financial Officer—a role that he has enjoyed for over ten years. In addition to his responsibilities as CFO, Bob assists our Full Management and Hybrid clients with metrics, ratios and reports for their practices; he has developed performance measurements for CRT's Dedicated Account Specialists, which has improved the efficiency and accountability of that operation. Bob also works with outside consultants, CPA's and accountants.

 

Bob is a graduate of the University of Michigan–Dearborn - 1983 and Ferris State University - 1980. He earned his Certified Public Accountant in 1985. He is a member of AICPA and MACPA. Bob's previous work experience includes a partner in a public accounting firm and controllerships for Tier 2 Manufacturing Company and IT Staffing Organization. Bob has volunteered on various non-profit boards of directors during his career including 9 years as treasurer for two separate organizations.

Ray has been with CRT Medical Systems, Inc. since its inception in 1981. From Computer Operations to Customer Support and diagnostics, Ray has contributed to CRT’s growth and success, helping to develop key processes that enable CRT clients to maintain profitable practices.

 

Ray's primary responsibilities include monitoring and reviewing CRT Medical Systems, Inc.'s full Management clients to make certain that CRT, Inc proactively addresses billing issues or problems. His unique ability to analyze and pin-point problems in billing submissions has made him a valuable member of the management team Ray’s number one priority is taking care of client. He is known as the “go to guy” and can be counted on to resolved problems efficiently.

 

Ray attended Wayne State University, studying Computer Science and Business Administration.

Kim brings over 20 years of healthcare systems experience to CRT. Her expertise in healthcare and client support development provides a rich knowledge base by which she is better able to assess problems and provide solutions when working with clients.

Prior to joining CRT, Kim had experience implementing EMR 10 years ago while at VantageMed. She has also worked for Ford Motor Company, University of Michigan Hospital, and Medical Software Solutions.

 

Kim's experiences in various medical settings, her medical software knowledge along with her leadership skills have been a tremendous asset to CRT Medical Systems. She is responsible for the development of the implementation and support department at CRT. Her focus is on the customer, which facilitates a smooth transition when ordering, and implementing services. She is committed to developing and strengthening client relationships to provide first-rate support.

Amy Peterson | Vice President Marketing | Back to Top

Amy joins the CRT System Leadership Team with over 15 years of experience in marketing and sales strategy, media relations and corporate communications. With a degree in exercise physiology from Furman University, Amy joined Pfizer Laboratories, Inc. where she led the Midwest in pharmaceutical sales. She then went on to the IBM Corporation where she directed multiple successful sales and marketing initiatives resulting in the integration and standardization of IBM technology worldwide.

 

Most recently, Amy served as Director of Marketing and Communications for the Detroit Economic Club and The National Summit. Amy was responsible for the content management, development and execution of The National Summit communications plan as well as media relations, public relations, publications, audience development, marketing, brand development and management, and website management. Due in part to her leadership, The National Summit recently ranked number seven in The World's Top Executive Gatherings, according to a recent study by Weber-Shandwick.

 

Amy's strong technical and medical background, combined with her exemplary leadership in both the corporate and non-profit business marketing sectors, makes her a tremendous asset to CRT Medical Systems, Inc. Her expertise and strategic vision uniquely qualify her to bring greater awareness to CRT's mission, both regionally and nationally.

Karen Metzler | Director of Billing Services | Back to Top

Karen brings 25 years of medical billing experience to CRT. After completing a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University, Karen began her career working in the lab environment and has held a variety of positions within the billing industry including several years working with the Rose Cancer Center at Beaumont Hospital. Karen was brought on board to work with CRT's largest client team. Her leadership and contribution on that team led her into billing management at CRT where she now oversees our Dedicated Account Specialists, Call Center and Patient Accounts. She is responsible for all CRT employees that are assigned to billing and closely monitors the performance, customer satisfaction and growth of all operations related to her team and our clients.
